Jimbo PHILLIPS is an artist from Santa Cruz, California, who literally grew up on crazy graphics. His father, Jim Phillips, designed all of Santa Cruz Skateboards' works of art in the 1970s and 1980s and created the famous "Screaming Hand" logo.

At the age of 18, Jimbo started working for his father by designing for the skateboard industry (Santa Cruz Skateboards), creating stunning graphics for t-shirt designs, magazine ads and skateboards. In 1990, Jimbo created his own graphic arts company for skateboard companies, designed logos for local surf shops, and t-shirts and silkscreen posters for local punk and metal bands. Its customer list has grown to include large companies such as skateboard Santa Cruz, Fox Racing, Sessions, Fat Wreck Chords, Bell Helmets and Natal Design (Japan).

In 2001, Jimbo did an international advertising campaign for Snickers chocolate bars, which led to him being named Artist of the Year by Archive Magazine and featured on the cover.

In 2002, the design of Jimbo's Bomber Chick Giro headset was awarded the graphic headset of the year in SKI magazine.

In 2005, his art was presented on Tony Hawk American Wasteland video game where the game weaves into and out of Jimbo's comic book format.

In 2007, Jimbo donated artwork to Second Harvest Food Bank for a skateboard graphic where all profits will help "Grind out Hunger!" Rob Dyrdek of MTV's "Rob and Big" show recently commissioned Jimbo to create a "work of art" personal art collection.

Jimbo is currently working on new designs for Santa Cruz Skateboards / Surfboards, a new shoe model for DC Shoes and new rock posters for Bill Graham Presents.

Jimbo is an artist who strives to push the boundaries of what can be done on a skateboard, helmet or any surface and continues to do so in a fluid and catchy style.

It is in this logic that Jimbo did us the honour of decorating our surf shoes. Indeed, Jimbo is a surfer and we sent him a pair to try. He loved our slippers, which is why he allowed us to use his drawings.

The WETTY BOOT ORIGINAL "CYCLOPTOPUS" model is not only a Neoprene surf shoe but a real work of art. Jimbo's works are very rare and you will be among the privileged to have one.
